This Privacy Policy explains how Porinoi ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our app or website at www.porinoi.com. It should be read alongside our -Terms & Conditions and,Cookie Policy.

By registering or continuing to use Porinoi, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

Article 1: Data We Collect

When you use Porinoi, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Profile information — name, age, gender, relationship preferences, and bio
  • Photos — non-explicit profile images only (explicit content is strictly prohibited)
  • Preferences & interests — matchmaking filters, hobbies, and lifestyle details
  • App usage data — interactions, features used, session duration, and activity logs
  • Location data — city and state only; we do not collect precise GPS coordinates
  • Payment details — processed exclusively via Razorpay Payments; we do not store card or banking information
  • Device security information — device ID and login patterns, used solely for fraud detection

We do not store banking data, card numbers, or UPI credentials. All payment processing is handled securely by Razorpay under RBI guidelines and PCI-DSS compliance. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy for how they handle your payment data.

Article 2: How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect only for the following purposes:

  • To create, manage, and personalise your profile on Porinoi
  • To match users based on stated preferences, interests, and compatibility
  • To improve and maintain platform safety, reliability, and performance
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and the posting of prohibited content
  • For identity verification as part of our trust and safety programme
  • To provide customer support and respond to your queries
  • To send important platform notifications and policy updates

We will never use your data for targeted advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with marketing companies.

Article 3: Prohibited Data

  • Adult or pornographic content
  • Nude or semi-nude images
  • Sexual content or explicit messages
  • Escort profiles or service solicitation

Strictly Prohibited Content

We do not allow you to upload, share, or transmit any of the following. Our AI moderation system automatically detects and removes such content, and the responsible account is permanently banned without notice or refund:

Article 4: Data Sharing

We share your data only with trusted partners where strictly necessary:

  • Razorpay Payments — for secure payment processing under RBI norms
  • Identity verification partners — for KYC and age verification purposes
  • Law enforcement agencies — only where legally required by a valid court order or government request under applicable Indian law

We never sell your personal information to any third party, including advertisers or data brokers.

Article 5: Security Measures

We take the security of your data seriously. The following protections are in place:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted to and from our servers
  • End-to-end encryption for sensitive personal data at rest
  • AI-based content moderation to detect and remove harmful content in real time
  • Fraud detection systems that monitor for suspicious account activity
  • In-app report and block features to protect users from harassment

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and report any suspicious activity to support@porinoi.com.

Article 6: Data Deletion

You may request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. To submit a deletion request:

  • Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the Porinoi app
  • Email privacy@porinoi.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"

We will delete your data within 7–30 business days of receiving your request. Certain data may be retained for a longer period where required by applicable Indian law, court orders, or for fraud investigation purposes.
